Finally - The Wedding Day.

While Deb got her hair done, I had my gel manicure REdone (don't ask... what is supposed to last 2 weeks didn't last 2 hours and you KNOW I was annoyed by that!).  Deb and I ran to walmart to pick-up some last minute roses as filler for the flower girl floral pom.

When we arrived back to the room, it hit us.  Deb was ACTUALLY getting married.  We started happy dancing in the hotel room.  In the middle of dancing, I clicked a few pics:

 

As you can see, I wore my red shirt with hearts (for the day of LOVE) and she wore her turquoise shorts and BRIDE tank... Turquoise? Check.  Red? Check.  Hearts? Bride? Hair? Check. Check. CHECK!

 

We were ready to kick things off!

 

Lunch was delivered and it was delish.  One of the perks of being with the bride all day? Lunch is provided... Man, it was yummy.

 

I ate a little then got to work (a LOT).  Deb purchased a floral pomander ball.  Unfortunately, however, she got the size needed for centerpieces and not for little hands to carry down the aisle.  It needed more flowers and time than I scheduled but it all worked out!

 

 

FINALLY, it was time to get ready. 

 

 

 

 

 

Chazzy helped mommy get into her dress:

 

 

 

Once the bride was ready, everyone headed over to the Chapel in the Clouds at the Stratosphere Hotel.

 

The staff set up a lovely bridal suite in their smaller chapel.  We used this as the perfect backdrop to present the ladies with gifts from the groom.

 

 

 

The gifts - bow-shaped earrings for Chazity in remembrance of my beautiful god angel (read more here) and a Pandora bracelet with charms for Deborah - were beautiful.

 

Chaz also wrote each of them heartfelt letters and, let me just tell you, it really made us all emotional... NOT because we read them (because we didn't) but because Deb's reaction gave us all a reason to cry.  We all knew...  This was just a bittersweet moment.

 

We all took some deep breaths, freshened up and decided to move on.

 

Ms. Joy presented Deb with her bouquet:

 

It was the simple bling bouquet Deborah wanted and I was proud to bring her vision to fruition:

She was beautiful, the day was great and the ceremony was ABSOLUTELY amazing!

Vegas - Friday Fun!

After our night of feet-murdering fun (lol), Deb and I hit the streets for wedding errands - Michael's, dress steamer, lunch, Walmart, meeting with the wedding coordinator, etc.  It was a productive day!

We returned to the strip for shopping and lunch then it was time to step out!

AND STEP OUT WE DID:

We met at the Hard Rock Café for the bachelorette crowning and oath ceremony:

I shared the dance floor dance off (here) and I'd love to share the pics from the party bus (let's just say there was a group of guys who CLAIMED to be in town auditioning for the Magic Mike show).  It was wild.  And crazy.  And a POLE lotta fun!

Vegas Bound!

With the bridal shower out of the way, we were fully prepared to head to Vegas for the wedding.  I've shared my personal Vegas adventures (here, here, here and here) but the time has come to back track and provide the wedding update. 

...

The weeks before our flights, we were handling business.

We picked up the dress:

We shopped for jewelry:

I ordered little gifts to surprise the bride:

What is it?  O, it's a personalized hanger.  It makes a great photo-op for the wedding dress AND will be used in her permanent storage/display of the dress.

It seemed like we were having frequent conference calls with the hotel planner.  You know it's important when the planner can interrupt our Panera, lol:

I baked under the dryer and got my hair done.

Finally, the big day was upon us and Hubbs and I were off:

We enjoyed some mimosas at the Long Beach airport on the way.  I was SO in love with my $5 shades, lol:

When we finally arrived in Vegas, I joined the girls for shopping then headed back to Deb's hotel room to work on some crafts.  What?! The crafty requirements don't change because you fly across the country, lol.

I stickered the bottom of her shoes.  Yep.  Deb purchased scrap book stickers and I cut the excess around each letter to create an 'I Do' high heels.  It turned out super cute:

Deb used the mini cookies I ordered for her bridal shower (that didn't arrive in time due to my move) to create favors at the ceremony for guests:

She then wrapped Chaz's wedding gift.  I was so glad I was there to snap a few pics of the moment with my iPhone:

We ate then got ready for our first night out on the town.  We just walked the strip with no major plans but it was a lot of fun just seeing the crazy Vegas sights. These 2 hot mamas let Vegas know we still had it, lol:

Well, TECHNICALLY we only have "it" one way so we can walk but so far before somebody better call a cab.  These little legs in these little heels can go no further.  O, is it here?  Good thing because I didn't think I'd make it, lol:

Let's just say the rest of the time was better on the toes because we established our limitations upfront.
