WW: Thanksgiving Greetings!
Coq au vin (French for chicken cooked in wine) can take two days to prepare if you include marinating the chicken overnight. I followed a recipe many years ago for a healthier alternative (no bacon and no butter) but I've simplified it for our everyday lives. I'm sharing our everyday version today. Get excited because it's super easy and super yummy!

Elf on the Shelf - Almost Time!
Within the last few years, there's been a surge in the popular holiday tradition of the Elf on the Shelf.
Don't tell her I said this but, looking back at the pictures, I guess I kind of enjoy when the annoying elf shows her face too. Stay tuned for Pinky Frost adventures during our Wordless Wednesday posts or follow along on Instagram!
You can learn more about the story and the elf's purpose here.
Our elf, Pinky Frost, is a trip. She's always getting into something and, as part of our tradition, she shows her face every year the day after Thanksgiving. It's pretty crazy and her mischief gets on my nerves but Munchface loves her and it's a fun advent calendar of activities for the family. I almost forgot that she would be back to get on my nerves until Munch mentioned it the other day. If you are considering purchasing one, be warned (... or inspired): THEY GET INTO TROUBLE!

Dollar Tree Lashes - A Product Review.
During the month of October, I blogged everyday about a fabulous find from Dollar Tree. I have so many items I tried and purchased and LOVE that I didn't get to share. During a trip with Munchface and her bestie, Jada, I saw fake eyelashes. I know what you're thinking and you're right. I'm not a makeup-y kind of girl but I love the look on other people.
Anyhoo, I got a pack. It came with the glue and everything. I know. Who do I think I am? So, to deflect from the fact that I really wanted to try them - because, well, who do I think I am? - I asked the girls if they wanted to put them on me. They agreed and I explained the process:
1. Apply the glue wait a few seconds to ensure it was tacky to actually stick
2. Place the lashes from the inside of my lash line (closest to my nose) out
3. Be sure to place them as close to the lid as possible.
To show you the results, I am going to share the [unedited] photos.

MaseFace Month 2
Happy Friday, Islanders! As if I didn't give you cuteness overload in this week's Wordless Wednesday post, I wanted to share a few updates on my awesome nephew, MaseFace.
That face. It gets me every time! Islanders, our MaseFace is officially two months old. He's changed a lot since our last photo session. I tried to get a similar picture and, as much as they are alike, there are subtle changes that really reflect some of his progress.
