I volunteered my platters and Mrs. Lucy planned her mini foods menu.
An area retail store was closing for renovations and we got a LOT of great pieces. Some of the items included large acrylic trays/boxes. I came up with a display idea using the acrylic trays that was easy, unique and guaranteed to add dimension to the table. We turned three upside down and stacked two on top to create a pyramid display.
We created enough space underneath the upper two to display food underneath.
It was so cool!
You can totally recreate this look using boxes wrapped in color-coordinating paper, bowls with platters on top or wrapping boxes and placing platters on top. The possibilities are endless and the food buffet is an unexpected place to wow your guests!
In case you're wondering, here's the menu:
- chicken salad
- fried party wings
- panera bread
- rice and black beans
- pigs in the blanket
- mini lasagnas
- mini taco bowls
- spicy cucumber salad
- mini bow tie pasta salad
The food was delicious and the display was pretty awesome too! Cheers to thinking outside the box in the name of making things COOL!
