Yes, I have birthday updates complete with tips and how-to's BUT I must interrupt your regularly scheduled party posts to bring you an important update:
Munchface started first grade!
As is our second time doing tradition, we spent Labor Day out and about. Munch and I caught a matinee showing of The Odd Life of Timothy Green.
It was a G-R-E-A- T first "real people" movie for her... Big movies for big kids, I guess.
Another second time ever tradition is Munch's Thank You dinner for Hubbs and me. After running errands most of the day, we returned home for her restaurant set-up. She used leftover birthday party decor to create a cute little space.
I turned around for 5 minutes and she was standing on my table. She had the nerve to ask for tape when I saw her - busted. Tape? Girl, get DOWN!
"Mommy, doesn't it look so nice?" - Munchface
She used her old writing practice sheets as placemats. Genius!
I had the idea (after I saw her placemats) to create silverware pouches using her writing paper. Then Munch added napkin rings and wrote our names:
I love the collaborative effort! O and I only put my 2 cents in for the pouches and the drink flags.
Do you see her coloring sheets in her restaurant for the kids? She thought of everything.
Don't you love the back-to-school banner?! All of the printables are free and can be found here.
She even made mini chocolate chip cookies.
Didn't the apple-shaped cookies turn out fabulous?
With the food ready and everything set up, Hubbs and I were escorted to our seats by Munchface, the owner of Zion's Applebees Restaurant.
We all thanked God for the food and for our family. We also prayed that Munch has a successful school year. After her bath, we ALL slept well:)
The end.
How'd you bring in First Day Eve? How was your little one's first day? Munch's school pics coming tomorrow!
