Day 5: From Tradition to Art.

Seriously, stop the frikkin' car! He slams on the breaks, almost causes an accident and stops at a cart on the side of the road.  We jump out of the car and hold hands as we walk to the roadside vendor.

We're on the hunt for a very specific item, the mask.

We collect wooden masks from everywhere we vacation. It's turned into one of our bonding activities on vacation.  Over the past 2 years, we've collected quite a few:

I've been collecting them in a pile until the dining room was painted... I had the perfect spot to display our masks:

I just love having a constant reminder of our times together.  Sometimes I stare at our mask gallery and think of the good times surrounding each... Costa Rica, Jamaica, the Bahamas... good times full of couple frolic :)

How do you incorporate vacation memories into your home decor?

Day 5, complete.
